Professor Joe McCord (Ph.D. 1970) is recognised as a pioneer in antioxidant/redox biology, he has published multiple scientific articles that have been cited over 1,000 times.
Dr. McCord is known for the monumental discovery of the antioxidant Superoxide Dismutase (SOD), demonstrating its necessity to aerobic life, for which he won the Elliott Cresson Gold Medal in 1997.
Below Dr. McCord describes how the natural one-a-day nutritional activator “Protandim” helps activate over 400 survival genes, which radically reduce oxidative damage in human cells. He also describes the scientific peer-review process of ensuring that new research is original and uses valid science.
